The people who keep the lodge fires lit

Clovercreeklodge began as a group chat between friends who kept comparing their virtual farms. One swore by bright cartoon fields, another by sprawling medieval villages, a third by a stable of horses she checked every morning before work. The arguments were friendly and detailed enough that writing them down seemed the natural next step.

We focus on one niche on purpose: farming and country-life games that run in a web browser. That narrow lens lets us play each game properly, for weeks rather than an afternoon, and compare them fairly. Every review on the site comes from a farm we actually kept, with notes taken after each sitting.

Our writers are spread across Canada, which means our test farms get checked at all hours, from early mornings in the Maritimes to late evenings on the coast. That spread is useful: it shows us which timers suit real schedules and which only work for someone with nothing else to do.

We update reviews when games change and welcome corrections from readers. If you have kept one of these farms longer than we have and think we got something wrong, tell us. The lodge is better for every farmer who pulls up a chair.

01

We play before we write

No review appears until the game has been played for weeks on a fresh account. Facts come from the game itself and its publisher’s own pages, and impressions come from our own sittings.

02

Calm play is the gold standard

We favour games that fit a real life. A farm that respects ordinary schedules and rewards patience will always rank above one that demands constant attention or spending.

03

Scores you can argue with

Every score sits beside the text that justifies it. If you disagree, the reasoning is right there, and we are always happy to hear a well-made case for a different number.
